PnS vs Digiscoping
Finally had a morning where I can do birding, try to aim at the commonest birds, the Green Pigeon before the Spotted Dove came in, rarely see this 2 Columbids stay side by side:
With my FZ-100 at full 24x, I can get a shot of it:

But when I adapt my older LZ-2 (6 x) on my Scope (20 x), I am too close to get full view, so I have to back off far away and only used around 3x of my Lz-2 and crop from it, here is the results, because the angle is different, the background here is better?

No adaptor yet, but seemed like the LZ-2 with 6x is not a very suitable choice for digiscoping as it fails to capture those things that are too close, I decided to give my LC70 (3 x) a try, if it is fine, may try to get an adaptor for it to start my digiscoping life......

tou, I prefer with your LZ-2.
Digiscoping is not for you to take photo in close range la!

erm...... with 6x + the 20x of the scope, you need to try stand far far away from your target, at least like probably 10 meters away to get it in frame, many birds are often not so far away, and you need quickly back off, its not quite helpful........ also actually my LZ-2 although bigger optical zoom, is a more entry-level PnS compared to the older cam......

Re: PnS vs Digiscoping
Digiscope photo is not too bad as u just handheld. Try using lower ISO. Get an adapter and your shot will be much better! Always use tripod and remote or cable release. If u wanna make a custom bracket for your cam to scope, MNS Perak has one member who can do it..Mr Cheah Kum Seng if i'm not mistaken...

Thanks.... I dont think the cam allows ISO setting, not very advanced type, ya, I had the bracket already (from Cheang) as I bought a second hand scope, all I need is the adaptor for the cam, and that's why I need to try test out which cam better and more suitable before asking Cheang help me make one. Will see how, may also be scouting for a new PnS that is more suitable for digiscoping as well, but so far my digiscoping is more towards record shots only, even my super zoom techniques haven't really quite mastered yet, so many will take some baby steps in this matter (my studies starting, will be very busy soon..... )
