Female Green Broadbill
I stumbled upon this Female GBB collecting materials for her new home
deep inside the forest. Unexpectedly, she showed up very close to me,allowing me almost a full frame shot.

Thanks Harvey Lau, JKC, Yes, it's a bit tight but I couldn't back off anymore...
Re: Female Green Broadbill
Great shots... this make me recall few year back in BT, the GBoardbill is take the nesting material from SBBoardbill nesting..... and the SBBoardbill only can see but can't do anything of it...
Re: Female Green Broadbill
Hi arixt,
very very nice close up for this rare broadbill...
but...
shooting bird under the tree/canopy ,during daytime..'s common problem is:
the color too green too yellow...(lighting from the tree leaf)
(check the tree branch),...
of course i don't shoot this bird before... and i maybe will shoot the same one like you...
regards,
irfan choo

Thanks irfanchoo, I'd probably need to adjust the color to get a better balanced the tone- something which I'm still learning to get it right....

Re: Female Green Broadbill
Wow, this is very beautiful shot of female Green Broadbill.
Agree with Jeffery, the shot would be better if not too tight, but you had no choice because the bird perched too near.
I find that it is quite tricky to adjust the WB under the shade of green leaves. Normally I will try to adjust the color balance to increase the blue channels and reduce a bit green channels, but I still couldn't get the ideal result. Not sure has anybody knows the best way to correct the WB under this situation?
