MOUNTAIN CHICKEN
30 hours, rain, a few leech bites, aching joints...... all for these few images. Worth it or not ? Of course, for such a rare bird.
Thank you Jeffery, for your company.

I lost most of my pictures due to insufficient light in the morning, and in the afternoon, the back light also took away many. I was shooting at ISO 2000, and the lowest was 1250. At times, I was so desperate that I set the exposure at -1.
My leg is still itchy, damn leech !

It is like taking drugs, once you set up your mind, you will go all the way, until you have done the best when given the best opportunities that nature can offer. Sometimes, the opportunities are just insufficient, because of that, I had to spend 30 hours in a hide. The aftermath was aching joints and itchy skin.
Thanks guys

Re: MOUNTAIN CHICKEN
Yeah! the lighting was pretty tough and most of the time the camera couldn't lock with the subject but it was really excited to see them walking near to our hide. Some of my photos were full-frame somemore. hahahawmw998 wrote:JKC wrote:Adrian! Thanks for sharing with me and I'm more than pleased to join you.

Re: MOUNTAIN CHICKEN
Initially I thought you spend 30 hrs all in all (including travelling time, teh tarik on the way) for the "Ugly Chicken" LOL. 30 hrs in a hide is no joke, so that "ugly chicken" turn out to be prince and princess. Don't worry about the itch. Just take a closer look at the photos and imagine them through your view finder. You won't feel the itch anymore.

alphan, I am still itchy, there is still one more specie to capture, but just cannot locate the feeding location. I guess the bird does not return to same area to feed everyday.
Thank you my friend.
