sandgrouse is not technically a chicken, in the past placed with doves in Columbiformes but later on discovered to be probably more wader in Charadriiformes, now probably a distinct order by itself...... but of course so named because some of its resemblance to the true grouse.

Interestingly, this group that survives in deserts, would travel to water points, soak their breast wet and "breast-feed" their youngs with water.
