A rare bird to find in Malaysia, I guess. The last time I saw them in hundreds was in Thailand.

It was a rare bird when it was first discovered in Chuping during March 2008, every since, I would say it is an uncommon and highly localized migrant to few spots, Permatang Nibong was one of its favorite spot then. This year, its now uncommon to fairly common migrant at least for the year as there is a very good number of them wintering here this season, almost fully from Penang to Johor coast, with few further inland reports. So this year it wasn't quite that much of a rare bird, and good opportunity for ppl to see it in Malaysia this year, i got mine yesterday....
