Mini Bee extracting nectar from Ball Flower.
There were about half a dozen tiny bees ( ~ 5mm) visiting the purple ball flowers at a neighbour's garden.
Attached is a fortuitous shot. It was just plain luck that everything clicked.
The bee was busy and the wind was acting up.
Shot with the Sigma 150mm F2.8 Macro lens + 2X TC.

cantik! I believe output from 150mm sigma should be better without the TC

Tqvm for comment. Totally in agreement that output without TC should have been better. Was trying to achieve a non-cropped 2X magnification pic with the TC.
Will try 36mm + 20mm = 56mm Extension Ring (no glass) to get 2X magnification. In fact, I should go for 2X or > X only when subjects require it.

for higher magnification, yes ET would be nicer but you'll loose comfortable working distance i.e maybe focusing too close to the subject and lighting would be a bit difficult to get it distributed sparingly. you get too close and the subject will cabut lari.. wahahaha
