Long-billed Curlew

Shot taken a few months ago. It was taken during the first light at the south end of the North Beach. Sun just came up but light was blocked by the pine trees. I shot this with using a filled-flash. I am happy with the end result.
I encourage you to try to use flash, often time, when the light is harsh, filled flash could be a great source of light to counter it by eliminating hard shadow on your subject.
This shot illustrate the environment, with light being blocked by the trees.

agree with Ng, by the night feel very excited to wake up early. next morning haha very lazy to get off from the bed. usually after my solat subuh (morning prayer), go back to the bed.. wahahaha

Very nice shot! I have the similar custom-made ground pod but still no chance to use, the beaches are muddy
