yesterday morning i went to Kek Lok Tong, ipoh to try luck on Java Sparrow... and i manage to capture some shots on this beauty

photos captured only using Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 on Canon EOS 550D

These are actually very beautiful shots of the fortune telling birds ! The first shot would have been excellent with a bit more eye contact.

Beautiful photos. Normally we give more space where the bird is facing to. For example if the bird is facing to the right, there should be more space on the right of the bird.

You are right about the framing makus. But I have been caught in situation when I have no space in the direction where the bird was facing, and the shot happened to be a clean and sharp one, a keeper ! But that is bird photography. The more resourceful guy will create canvas to salvage it.
