I always find Olive-winged Bulbul to be extremely annoying..... because that olive wasnt really obvious, then when you think, issit another brown bulbul that I had never met, then cheh.... the lup sup Olive-winged again...... I rank this as probably the 3rd commonest bulbul in Malaysia, after Yellow-vented and Stripe-throated, but Stripe-throated is not common in lowlands of south Peninsular, but up here in the north, the second easily met after Yellow-vented.......

Hmm..a bit hard. Is it forest area or just kampung bushes. If forest then could be olive winged but if kampung bushes, streak eared bulbul is cery common in northern kedah n perlis...
From my field experience, streak eared bulbul has light blue iris...donno if there's variation...
