Hello from Chan Kai Soon
Hi all, I have just joined this forum after learning from Nelson that there is this forum. I had actually been keen on taking bird videos since 1999 and had been playing with various small camcorders for videoscoping till end of last year.
I bought a Panasonic GH2 late last year and since then had been mainly using it for taking videos, and occasionally (esp when it is easy) also take still photos. I have no solid background in optical theory although I sort of understand the principles behind F stop, shutter speed, DOF, dynamic range and ISO etc. Hence please excuse me if I make mistakes in these areas. I am Chinese educated and understand Mandarin but am not able to write Chinese on the computer hence I won't be using Mandarin.
I admire those guys with big bazookas churning out stunning pictures but I think I cannot afford them in terms of the weight of the equipment. So I can only indulge myself in lighter gears.
Look forward to learning from all the sifus here.

Dear all, thanks all for the kind words. I am really no sifus but just another person who likes to play play with the camcorder and experiment with the techniques. Look forward to sharing with everyone.
