Jacana ID help.
From a fresh water marsh in NE Thailand. I think it is a Pheasant-tailed Jacana although it hasn't the tail feathers yet.
So could this be non-breeding or could it be a juvy? No other pics sorry. It took off
when I tried to get another shot. Thank you.

The Pheasant-tailed Jacana did had a non-breeding plumage, which is the dominant plumage to see in winter at SEA, the jacana can hardly be confused as other species because other species dont even look close. The African and American species are more similar to each other and easily cause confusions.
