Rufous-backed Kingfisher
Taken at Sg Sedim, Kedah.

After moving closer & add-on 1.4x TC, still look pretty small... (both photos cropped ~30%).

Didn't stay that long though, probably a min, allowed me to take few shots, a step forward, another few shots, add TC, & final few shots before take off.
Anyone know is a male or female? Looks like female to me but I'm entirely sure.

There are no certain ways to sex these fellas that we know of so far from exterior characteristics....

Thanks jytou, info I read on web is not accurate then, it mentioned male has more black on the wing parts compare to female.
