Canon EOS 40D Lens 100-400mm L IS USM at 400mm ISO 400 F6.3 1/1250 available light from hide 11 May 2009
This limb was utilised by the Musk Lorikeets as a staging post prior to descending to ground level to drink at the small water soak mentioned earlier. Even in this situation they were extremely active and squabbling giving great close views of their social behaviour. Not unlike their behaviour when moving over eucalypt blossom ..continual motion...continual angry chatter and aggressive snapping at those close .
