Olive-backed Sunbird (Nectarinia jugularis) female Daintree Queensland Australia
Canon EOS 7D Lens 400mm L USM ISO400 F7.1 1/2500 21 June 2011 4.01pm
Here is an image of a female Olive-backed Sunbird who did her full stop on a barbed-wire fence and just sat there ... and sat there ... and sat there just sunning herself in complete contrast to the usual frenetic feeding activity. I dare not attempt a closer view. Of course the barb-wire perch was not my choice but then she was a bit of a poser.
