Very impressed with the quality of images but then this should not be a surprise as photographers from Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan have always been to the forefront in exhibitions since the early 1960's !! Yes ! You have guessed it I am old Wink !! Will be visiting areas around Ipoh and KL in October 2012 so am searching for birding hot spots. Have no Malayan birds to send at this stage but will dig out a few images of species that in occur in both our countries.
Best regards

Welcome Birdie

Please share more, birds in Australia is very approachable I heard, some forum member here has been there few times.

In Malaysia, Fraser's Hill is still the famous hot spot for birding, especially in the car park of Jelai Resort...at least 20++ species surrounding that area...Laughingthrush, Flycatchers, Magpie, Fulvetta, Sunbirds, Mesia, Sibia, Spiderhunter, Trogons...etc..

You may want to visit our National park for Pittas, Frogmouths, Broadbills, Kingfishers, and many lowland species....

Do keep in touch and stay around for more info....

Cheers,

Ng

Thanks Ng for your warm welcome
Fraser's Hill is high on my list and Yes! Pittas would be welcome I have two of the three Australian Pittas. But really with a blank canvas most of your birds will be new to me.
Again thanks

Thanks, Nelson, for the Kek Lok Tong suggestion and species found there.
You were lucky to see my website as I tried to work on it yesterday and it was down.
Looking forward to the trip we are going to Fraser's Hill and also around Ipoh.
Best regards
