Re: Green-Backed Flycather
cepat la Jeffery, dia sudah mau balik oo..
no need to stay for so long. 1-2 hours there is just enough to get decent shots..
but something strange has been happening with this gbfc. the female was MIA for weeks already although I can hear the call sometimes. yesterday the call was loud and clear, but I just can't locate the bird although the call is quite near. no movement to detect it.
so I was thinking, could be the female is nesting?? got call but no movement, the only logical thinking is she is calling from inside nest

The species is not that likely to breed here yet, furthermore it is very unlikely that adult passerines will call in the nest.

Re: Green-Backed Flycather
last Sunday I've meet Mike, a seasoned birder using Leica APO Televid 77 digiscoping kit. He also ruled out that passerines is unlikely to breed here but he also saying who would expect if the bird choose to breed here.
well, let me check the progress. if there some evidence that the bird is nesting, I think this would record a new discovery.
