Greenie shower
An unexpected but very welcomed visitor.
Could this be an older bird because of the blue plumage on its back?

Re: Greenie shower
hi jack,
the blue tone is related to diet, those in captivity will eventually turn blue in color, need to check what is the nutrients that maintain its green color, a food it usually eats in the wild.

Thanks Nelson.
Mr.Tou, looking at Robson's guide, it says the bird turns blue as it ages and maybe as well as the type of food taken? Thanks!

could also be due to age, the diet probably changed a bit or because of aging, capability to maintaining the green colorations became weaker, but this guy is definitely an interesting one, another category of species that would fade if diet not fulfilled is the flamingo....
