Juvenile in the sun, PnS obviously needs to deal with better sunlight...

Rufous-bellied Swallows are flying around, often quite low, but its obviously challenging to even try getting a flight shot:

I didn't try to go as near to the Swamphen at my patch like Adolph.....

Thanks. Aiyah, KLT is not so close to my house la, I dowan purposely drive there birding only, somemore most of the species could be found near my house also, but of coz that day itself, the only birds we met that are not recorded in my neighborhood yet are Brown Barbet (not easy to find), Little Spiderhunter (still looking for them), Olive-winged Bulbul (looking), Rusty-breasted Cuckoo (heard all morning there and looking forward to hear them at my place, they are however commonly heard at my campus), Blue Whistling Thrush (haven't found any yet but got hope....). That day, when we go look for Java Sparrow at my place, Nelson also helped me found my first female Blue Rock Thrush at that locality which I suspect it does exist for a while ready....... it is much harder to see and shier around my place though.

Got, high up..... the low one that Harvey got, my shot "no eye see", and I mean literately "no eye see", in the shades, the eyes not standing out, very dim....... Harvey got a better angle. Anyway, Java Sparrow much easier to see at my place, come to the ground, so I don't quite bother getting them.... I did bring them to my patch and saw one flying off, but is after Kek Look Tong, so very late ready, if come morning, maybe good chance shoot it on the ground......

Tou, I think only 15 minutes drive, where got far. Short cut from Bercham to Ipoh garden and short cut again from ipoh garden through kampung gunung rapat.
Were you drive to down area and come out from Gopeng road and turn in to Japan gunung Rapat to Kek lok Tong? hahahah.

where got 15 minutes??? you fly car meh......... 20-30 minutes la...... no need susah payah cur thru Ipoh Garden la, now got highway from Bercham to Tambun, then only go through Ampang, but I dono those small roads in Gunung Rapat, so I always use the main Dairy Road then....... many traffic lights, very slow...... that extra 10-20 minutes, I can use to travel to other place....... at Kek Look Tong, I mainly know how to go to Kek Look Tong only, whole day can only be spent there..... at my patch, I can visit a few spots over a morning as I knew the roads and paths better....... still dont get to see why I need purposely travel to KLT for birding, I will be happier to find the same species at my spot. I still need to find 16 more species this year at my spot to reach this year's target......
