not actually.... you try to see the end there, it is actually getting alerted and starting to transform into tall thin mode (I believed they believed that they are harder to be noticed when they were thinner to the observer's sight, there is a Jap video on demonstration on how a scops owl response to threats and how it chooses to transform itself to look larger and fiercer or to make itself thinner and taller. When it sees something slightly bigger, it will make itself big and fierce, when it sees something too big that it cant puff itself to look that big, the only other choice is to be a chicken and shrink himself thin to pretend to be a tree branch or something and hope that the bigger fella did not notice him...)
I did not take further videos after realizing a bird poacher is coming in to the area, I quickly fleed......
