HILL BLUE FLYCATCHER
Accompanied some friends from overseas to bird for two days, this is one of only two birds I have captured in sensor. Not an obliging one certainly, always hid in the dark, it took me a total of 14 hours, waiting, chasing, sneaking up.... but it was worth the while.
I fond it difficult to handle the blue colour of the bird though. When in dark area, the back appeared dark blue, however, it became much lighter when the bird was in the brighter area. Most of the shots were taken at ISO 1250.

..framing a little out, needs more space on top ....

.....head part a little out of focus, as the bird was moving a little too fast. Post anyway....

Roger, no denoising needed, or whatever PS. I never denoise my shots, if too grainy, throw away, do again. All you need is to make sure the exposure is right, definitely not too much under, and the noise will not be obvious. Do not shoot below 7.1 aperture when you are at high ISO, at least this is what I have found for my MK4 and 600 setup. I know you like to shoot at 6.3 or below, to get a blur BG, but I don't think you need to, the 600mm always produces nice bouquet/BG,
Come lah brother, get together, now retired already, can't even have a cup of coffee together with you, always overseas. Envy you !!!
And thank you, all you guys, for viewing.

Noted you slept very little while in Xinjiang, and you have just come back from another long China trip. Perhaps you should sleep the normal hours and eat the right thing. Go back to your Chi Kong, lose some weight, or do what I do, eat what I eat....kakakakaka !

Re: HILL BLUE FLYCATCHER
Great shots as usual
Sometimes I got problem to adjust to the ideal WB, especially when the lighting is changing between hot sun and overcast.
