Hi sifus... not sure whether this is a tiger shrike... got this one when it perched straight up above me at almost 90 degree angle before it cabut. Thanks in advance.

yup, we need the upperparts and face for ID, this view only tells you it is a Tiger/Brown Shrike (Lanius sp.)

aisk.... the quality is a bit bad to tell if there is an eye mask, it sorta looked like one but cant be actually sure, without the eye mask, that looks like a juvenile Tiger.

Ok, thks mr NG and jytou. Appreciate your help. Basically Juvenile tiger has less contrasting eye mask compared to juvenile brown, right?

actually Tiger juvs basically have no mask, brown had. Both juveniles have scaly upperparts, but the Tiger is deeper rufous than the brownish Brown.
