Yellow Potter Wasp
I was actually attracting honey bees, in fact any small bees with some honey smeared on a leaf of a potted plant in the backyard, when along came a large Yellow Potter Wasp.
What a stroke of luck.
As the wasp was moving about, except when it stopped to enjoy the honey, the tripod proved cumberome at best and bothersome at worst.
All pictures were taken hand-held.
