Protecting the birding ground
Dear all
I'm very concern of the birding ground nowadays. there are so many Venturers that we might not know and going to these area and causes habitat damages. by openly posting the location of the birding ground are not wise because the forum are open to public to view. some that not register can also view the thread.
A few of us have notice the increase of photographers venture to these area. some have even cut, snap, removed the perching twig of their normal resting area so that they can put their prefer nice and clean twig. it is not the way to take birds photo . you can setup new perch outside the resting area and wait for your luck. these also to get a better lighting condition to have proper exposure.
I suggest not to post the name of the birding ground openly to protect the place and habitat. you can invite your friends if you know they are truely nature lovers and they know how to protect.
I'm not the onwer of the places but truely hope the copperation of all the photographers before is too late.
Regards,
Jeffery

I guess it already set in the RULES of this forum.
If found, we just make report, then let Mods to "re-edit" that post or take other action....

I think you don't understand. is not about the setting of these forum rules or taking action against the thread owner. it is all about understanding the situation that what we are facing. we have now lesser and lesser place for birding. sooner or later we have to hike for hours or take a flight to another country to find birds which has already started. The MOD can edit the thread title but if the owner do not understanding why is useless.
If these are to continue, you will see lesser birder's will post their photos in the future because they felt the same and tried to protect the habitat.

Thanks Jeffery, leading towards correct approach of enjoying nature.
Re: Protecting the birding ground
I am totally behind Jeffery's take on protecting the birding grounds.
Healthy ecosystems and environments (wetlands and forests) are vital for sustainable biological systems and conducive to propagation of wildlife, and any man-made disruption to the respective natural habitat would be of adverse effect.
In addition, Jeffery is a shinning example on how one should protect the ecosystem; ever observe how diligent he goes around the birding grounds picking up garbage for proper disposal?
