They dont resemble the garden Brown-throated and Olive-backed for sure.

At a forest edge, you could expect Purple-throated and Crimson, and some locations probably even Temminck's.

The brown kind of coloration however drag me towards the Crimson/Temminck's group.

I dont always trust callback results as many species would often react to closely related species or potential threats and competitors. The Ashy Tailors would react to my Dark-necked Tailor playbacks as well, I have also seen Common tailor reacting to the same calls.

You have the species right - both are Crimson, but the ages are 'terbalik'!

People often make the mistake of assuming 'scruffy' birds are juveniles whereas neat ones are adults. In fact, because the adults have often been hard at work hunting and rearing their young, and also go through periodic moults of some of their feathers, adults are far more likely to look 'scruffy', whereas juveniles, whose feathers are all the same age, always look nice and fresh, and are often slightly brighter than adults too.

So the top bird is a juvenile and the lower two are of an adult female.
