Trip report - Thailand (28th August ~ 2nd September 2011) - Part 1
I can say this is a very dry trip for birds but a fruitful trip for food!!! Many thanks to our guide and our 3 brothers Kiah, Nelson, Makus. Really having a wonderful time with you guys. And because of this trip also we make Kiah aka hawkeyes become our moderator, we believe he will make this thread more colorful soon.
Mostly common species were stored, but we tried hard to make it different.

Kiah is definitely the winner of the trip, many lifers, many food, but he is the most hardworking of all.
The 1st destination we went is Thale Noi. Swam area, fisherman paradise, but not for birdman like us.

It was a fun trip with the 3 sifu, Nelson, No Good and Markus.
We were very eager to photograph some species of birds of Southern Thailand, thus we bought along the
best fire-power in our "arsenal"...

Who can figure out the lens in the picture ?
The first birding site was the Thale-Noi at Patalung. I managed to get a few lifers, mainly some species of waterbirds.
1. Bronze-winged Jarcana
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
2. Purple Swamphen
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
3. Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
4. Cotton Pygmy Goose
I was the only one who managed to shoot this fella. I was busy chasing after this fella, the rest of them were
shooting a more easy target, the Yellow-bellied Prina.

Thanks for your compliment. If you like my lens, why don't you switch to EF 800.
Don't wait for the new EF 600.
