oh! what I'm trying to said is if there are a possibilities that the subject are freeze but the back ground capture with motion. just like motorsport photography.

Oh, that takes skills, plus when shooting in the salt water with water sometimes up to chest high, panning is not the easiest thing.
Got to try that though.

It came to my mind after seeing your exif because your area has pretty good lighting and the birds are so friendly. is hard to find here. sigh!
