Hi everybody

Hi, I am from Kuching, Sarawak. I am self employed with two teenage children.

Birding and bird photography are my hobby since about two years ago. Learning my hobby took me a while as there are not many of similar species here, unlike those from Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia. I hope to learn more from you all here and I hope you all will guide me along the way.

Though I enjoy birds, I am not the extreme type who goes to great length to get the perfect shot at the expense of the birds but just enjoy what comes my way.

Thanks. Garden birds are plentiful but other birds are harder to find here compared to West Malaysia and Sabah because we do not have proper bird sanctuary and protection.

Yeah, you all are invited to do birding here sometime especially when Air Asia are offering cheap fares. All birders and photographers alike are most welcome.

We which too one day, do you have any good place for bird photography at your place ?

We do have a few IBA's but the concentration of birds are less when compared to some of your birding areas. We do have endemic species but hard to find. Around Kuching we got Kubah National Park, Borneo Highland Resort and Bako-Buntal Bay (mostly migrant). Birds here tends to be shy and further away.

Still trying to do editing and organising my more recent pics. August would be fine. Why not end September and can join our bird race too ha....
