Little birds at Margaret River
Hello
My first post on this forum. Since I have only been doing reccies locally I thought I would post some Aussie birds from a recent trip to Margaret River in WA. I was mainly after the Fairy Wrens who are in their breeding plumage. But sometimes others get in the way.
My main target was the male Splendid Fairy Wren...see third image....for obvious reasons. I did see one but a pair of Red-winged Fairy Wrens were to the fore. The light was not brilliant and I had a 2x extender on my 500mmlens...which makes 'hunting' difficult.

Here is the male Splendid Fairy Wren from several years back.

There were a few other small birds asking to be photographed

Re: Little birds at Margaret River
You have got the relatives of one of the birds listed in " 100 birds to see before you die". and I am referring to the Superb Fairy Wren here. Fairy Wrens are my all time favourite birds, bot I only have a collection of images of the Superb, taken in the past ! Your shots are so beautiful, and I think I have just been tickled again on the right spot.....I have to arrange to go to Australia again ! Great stuff !!!
